Series 111 Part 1 Marvin Bu Ga Lu Smith Master Sessions, with Robert Kopec and The New 48 Track Studio using CUBASE SOFTWARE.... "THE BOMB"

There's certainly quite a bit of intense emotions that go along with a 42 year friendship with a genius like Master Marvin Bu Ga Lu Smith. I have witnessed first hand the workings of a unique creative mind that can influence others and motivate them to do the best that they can. Marvin is COMPASSION and giving to all everything he knows from his own experiences. The quality of the brand new 48 track studio lies in the ability of the folks doing the sound engineering and if you consider the fact that Andrew Greeney, one of Marvin's students, has learned much from studying with the famed Malcome Cecil who was involved with Stevie Wonder. Andrew has also learned much about music by using his great ears that he has developed during all the experience he has gained by being part of Marvin's drum crew. When you listen to the intricacies that develop between Marvin and Robert Kopec on this Series # 111, you can hear THE BREATH OF BOTH THEIR SOULS BLENDING TOGETHER IN BEAUTIFUL HARMONY. Yeah, HARMONY, that's the secret to Marvin Bu Ga Lu Smith's teaching. Marvin is about PEACE, HARMONY and COMPASSIONATE GIVING TO THE NEXT PERSON. He has built an empire of a magical studio that he can leave to those students that have been loyal to him. Marvin has done it, now it's up to the students to continue in the direction that Marvin has lead them. The performance here of BASS and DRUMS is amazing as the two instruments sound like an entire orchestra. Just listen to the solo work and the strong listening ability of both of these players. Robert Kopec has learned much from MASTER MARVIN BU GA LU SMITH, who was recently written up in MODERN DRUMMER MAGAZINE (FEB. 2011). Masters of the past that are no longer with us, have all paid tribute to Marvin when they were alive and now it's Marvin's turn to lay down some more videos to add to the already more than 1200 that exist now in the BUMAR RECORD/COMPASSIONATE SOUND & MOTION LIBRARY, but now, all the current sessions are being recorded and videographed using the highest quality available software that Marvin was able to locate. Simply tune in here to both Robert Kopec throwing down hard but with beautiful, sensitive tones and MASTER MARVIN'S DEEP GROOVES OF PASSION and LOVE for the ART-FORM OF JAZZ. Marvin honors all the tradition of the music going back even to SOUZA. Marvin is MUSIC and all types of music is represented here with Robert creating great tones together with BU GA LU. I loved listening to this Series 111 and I am also extremely excited about the great sound that has been mixed this evening. All of the people involved with Marvin are full of compassion like he is and that's why all of the videos that have been documented represent some of the largest collections of teaching by example that I have ever heard. I don't think any collection is this extensive. It is a LEGACY for sure. It's important for folks to listen carefully to what this genius is preaching because IT'S THE TRUTH BEING TOLD and IT'S BETTER THAN HOLLYWOOD.
LOVE ALWAYS and ALWAYS LOVE,
HABIB

Marvin Bu Ga Lu Smith Series 110 and 111 and Article About This Genius

Marvin Bu Ga Lu Smith brings a special feeling to the bandstand of gentle, deep love of the ART FORM of Jazz. I am captured by the gentle flow of the groove and INTENSE SENSITIVE EXPLOSIONS OF LOVE and PASSION that Marvin lays down. Master Marvin's musical statements reach way down into the foundation of early BOP and I was taken back to my younger years when I roamed the streets of Midtown NY and UPTOWN Harlem as a kid. I listened to this music and it brought back beautiful childhood memories and dreams that become reality.
Marvin Bu Ga Lu Smith, THE BABA and THE MASTER has shown his talents as a teacher through all his videos. Each student has an opportunity of being captured in a LIVE setting like the old days of early JAZZ in NYC. Nobody else in the world is teaching the way Baba Master Marvin Bu Ga Lu Smith is because NOBODY IN THE WORLD IS MARVIN and NOBODY'S SWINGING and TEARING IT UP LIKE MARVIN. FEW IN THE WORLD CAN COMMUNICATE THIS INNER FEELING THAT HE HAS AND HELP THE STUDENT TO DEVELOP THEIR OWN UNIQUE,INDIVIDUAL SOUND FROM THEIR OWN,INDIVIDUAL PERSONALITY THE WAY HE DOES. Marvin simply wants the students to learn how to have fun and give others joy through their musical gifts. Some students learn faster than others but TIME is truly THE MASTER and experience is what counts. Students learn how to work hard and not take short cuts BULLSHITTING themselves. It took Marvin 60 years on earth to learn about playing because he always is playing his life's experience and tells students to play their own life experience. We're always learning and always adding expression or vocabulary to our drumming with musical words. Yeah, HATS OFF TO BABA MASTER MARVIN BU GA LU SMITH as all the students sound better than ever. I know how much work and how much sacrifice Marvin has done to reach the point where jazzdrumlessons.com Marvin's school and all the other projects he has created have become global and available to the public now while this LEGEND is still with us. His record label BUMAR will be making available over 1200 music video examples of his teaching approach that exposes students directly to THE MASTERS on the bandstand each week. Teaching by DIRECT EXAMPLE and EXPOSURE IS THE TCKET TO MASTERFUL PLAYING. NO BULLSHITTIN! "GO TO THE VIDEO TAPE" as Werner Wolfe always said. The Master Sessions are available every week with the great Marvin Bu Ga Lu Smith, and all the MASTERS of JAZZ MUSIC by going to vimeo.com/bugalusmithhttp://vimeo.com/bugalusmith
