IT'S ACTUALLY PROOF WHEN YOU HAVE OVER 1,000 VIDEOS TO REFER TO. NO OTHER MUSICIAN IN THE WORLD HAS OVER 1,000 VIDEOS MY BROTHER AND FRIEND MASTER MARVIN. A LOVE SUPREME WITH ONLY DRUMS. The Series 102 here is the 2nd section of MARVIN BU GA LU SMITH'S INTERNATIONAL DRUM WORKSHOP FEATURING HIS TOP STUDENT FROM ITALY, MASTER PIERO BORRI. Piero is right here with Marvin and there are three drum sets staged in the studio so some of Marvin's other students can participate with these two masters and FEEL THE GROOVE THAT ONLY LOVE SUPREME CAN SPARK. Marvin and Piero start out talking gently to each other in Harmonic tones unheard of with just DRUMS and NO OTHER INSTRUMENTS. It is an example of how drums can MELT TOGETHER and CREATE ORCHESTRATIONS, SYMPHONIES OF BEAUTIFUL SOUNDS, SOUNDS MADE FROM ONE VILLAGE TO ANOTHER IN AFRICA where people talk through drums instead of on CELL PHONES and WALKIE TALKIES. Marvin and Piero take us all to TRADITION right here tonight at THE TALMADGE SESSIONS IN MARVIN BU GA LU SMITH'S PRIVATE STUDIO AT BUMAR RECORDS, HIS PERSONAL RECORD COMPANY. Here, Andrew Greeney and Jan Jurgielewicz, two of Marvin's drum crew students construct the videos of these sessions and tonight they will also appear playing with both MASTER MARVIN and MASTER PIERO, learning from THE MASTERS' LIFE EXPERIENCES. Yes, this well documented teaching in THE INTERNATIONAL WORKSHOP is so valuable for anyone who wants to learn DIRECTLY FROM THE MASTERS. Piero Borri spent years living with Marvin in Italy and asking questions about Marvin's life and his INNER SPIRITUAL SENSE. Practicing drums was a necessity. It's all hard work and doesn't happen unless one puts YEARS OF PRACTICE BOTH IN LIFE and ON THE DRUMS. IT'S A COMMUNICATION OF AN INDIVIDUALS BEAUTIFUL LIFE TO OTHERS SO THAT EVERYONE CAN FEEL FROM THE INSIDE THE JOY'S AND THE PAINS AND THE BALANCE THAT RESULTS FROM THE TWO. IT'S THE YING and YANG. IT'S THE NATURAL FLOW and THE WILLINGNESS TO MAKE CHANGES AND GO WITH CHANGES JUST LIKE WATER CHANGING FROM A LIQUID TO A GAS AND BACK TO WATER. IT'S THE ADAPTION OF WATER FITTING ITSELF INTO A VASE BUT ALSO BECOMING ICE, SNOW HAIL and THEN BACK TO LIQUID FROM A SOLID AS TEMPERATURES CHANGE. Yeah, the temperatures were changing here all night long. SIMPLY LISTEN AND YOU WILL FEEL GOOD. IT'S GETTING HIGH ON THE TRUTH OF LIFE. MUSIC IS A HEALING DRUG, A MEDICINE THAT'S NATURAL DIRECTLY FROM UNIVERSAL SPACE AND TIME. IT CAN BE HERE, THEN THERE, THEN ALL OF A SUDDEN, ANYWHERE. IT HAPPENS BECAUSE IT'S NOT PRE-MEDITATED OR REHEARSED, AFTER ALL, WE DON'T REHEARSE OUR LIFE, IT'S NATURAL. JUST LISTEN TO HOW NATURAL AND FLOWING THESE DRUMS SOUND FROM THESE TWO MASTERS, Marvin Bu Ga Lu Smith and Piero Borri. These are some of the MOST INTENSE DRUM LESSON EXAMPLES THAT I HAVE EVER HEARD BECAUSE THE COMMUNICATE TO THE STUDENTS is so real with COMPASSION and a SENSE OF GIVING. EGOS ARE LEFT OUTSIDE ON THE DOOR STEP. Marvin Bu Ga Lu Smith was written up in the February 2011 issue of MODERN DRUMMER MAGAZINE and there will be many more articles and interviews in other magazines and on radio and television. Marvin Bu Ga Lu Smith has more teaching videos on drumming with real performance examples. He has over 1,000 videos available and right now, they can all be seen on both youtube and on vimeo. Yes, curious musicians should take these documentations seriously while Marvin Bu Ga Lu Smith is here now in this world and available to all people who want to learn from him.
